Flying Pig is a theatre company formed as a non-profitmaking organisation (an Association 1901) dedicated to the promotion of theatre and the English language.

A brief overview of Flying Pig's history:
Since its creation in autumn 2003, Flying Pig has run workshops in primary schools, produced a number of plays in English in Lyon and in New Zealand, and runs theatre workshops for children from 4 to 15 years old. Flying Pig has also supported the activity of several other English theatre groups around Lyon. Flying Pig has supplied actors and tutors for classes, recordings and performances in and around Lyon to several local businesses as well as to Lyon 2 and Lyon 3 universities.
Alexander Laube was the president of Flying Pig Theatre Company from 2003 until 2007. Flying Pig's current president is Ian Lamb. Seren Smith is the treasurer. Alexander Laube is the Artistic Director, a part-time paid position.
Une brève introduction à Flying Pig:
La troupe est une Association Loi 1901 depuis 2003 avec l’objectif de présenter en langue et en version originale, des pièces de la grande tradition anglaise (Cymbeline de Shakespeare, aux Asphodèles 2006, L’importance d’être Constant (2004), Le Monte-plats (Pinter, 2004 et 2006 lors du festival ‘Viva Pinter à Lyon 3), ainsi que des mises en scènes d’œuvres d’auteurs européens (la Contrebasse, Süskind, 2005). Plus récemment FPT a écrit, produit et monté une ‘pantomime’ pour adultes et enfants en français et anglais (Dragonne, 2008/2009). Ces pièces ont reçu un accueil chaleureux, non seulement parmi la communauté anglophone mais aussi par le public français. FPT fait partie de la scène théâtrale de Lyon et de ce fait a l’ambition de rendre ses productions accessibles à tous (productions bilingues, surtitres, programmes en français et anglais).
